Wayne Joseph Magner was born on June 17, 1955, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Gaylord and Mary (Machado) Magner. He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylord Magner; his grandson, Kaleb Veasman; and his nephew, David Magner. Despite the losses he endured, Wayne’s strength, generosity, and kindness never wavered, and he remained a guiding light for his family throughout his life.
Wayne’s greatest joys were found in the outdoors, where he indulged his passion for hunting and fishing. Countless hours spent in the woods and by the water were shared with his sons and grandchildren, creating memories that his family will treasure forever. Whether guiding a young angler on a fishing trip or teaching a lesson in patience during a hunting excursion, Wayne’s love for nature was always coupled with his love for family.
Faith played a central role in Wayne’s life. A member of New Salem Baptist Church and a devoted born-again Christian, Wayne found strength, comfort, and purpose in his spiritual beliefs. He lived a life guided by integrity, compassion, and devotion, values he instilled in his children and grandchildren. His commitment to faith and family shaped his character and the legacy he leaves behind.
Wayne is survived by his loving children: Wayne Magner and wife Amber of Dixon, Missouri; Tiffany Rollins and husband Travis of Iberia, Missouri; and Cliffty Magner and wife Tonya of Vienna, Missouri. He was also a devoted and proud grandfather to nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Wayne is survived by his mother, Mary Magner of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his sister, Sharon Collison and husband Donnie of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and his brothers, Kenny Magner and wife Patricia, and Eric Magner, all of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Special friends Debby and Luther Moffet and their family, along with countless others, were also deeply touched by Wayne’s generosity, kindness, and friendship.
