One of the many ways he continued to support Meon Junior School was by leading the School Council and assisting with school trips, including the most recent Stubbington residential in February. His involvement in extracurricular activities demonstrated his holistic approach to education, emphasizing the importance of experiences beyond the classroom and helping students develop both socially and academically. His presence on these trips was a source of comfort, guidance, and encouragement for pupils and staff alike.
The loss of Mr Bayliss is felt deeply by the entire Meon Junior School community. Parents, pupils—past and present—colleagues, and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in his honor at St James’ Church on Monday, April 13th, at 3:30 PM. To allow students and staff to participate, the school will close early on this day at 2:50 PM. This gathering will provide an opportunity for the community to celebrate his life, share memories, and offer support to one another during this difficult time.
